Imam Khalil Khalifa Adem, born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to Eritrean Parents, migrated to the US in the 90’s. After receiving his Bachelors in Nursing, he studied Qur’an & the Islamic Sciences in Cairo, Egypt. As a student of knowledge, he has sat with many scholars such as Dr. Hatem Al-Haj , Shaykh Alaa Elsaadawi and others whom he has benefitted from immensely.
Imam Khalil previously served as the principal of the Islamic weekend school and a youth coordinator at Al-Tawheed Islamic center from 2015-2017 and later was nominated as Vice Chairman of the Board. Imam Khalil was also one of the founders of BBNJ, a local charity organization dedicated to feed the hungry.
